The name of the studio is registered as "MOJIKOUBOU - SHIROKI" on Jan.1st.2002 and the web site is renewed. The word "MOJI" means letter in Japanese.

Motoko Shiokawa.

Born in Yokohama city,Kanagawa prefecture,Japan in 1967.

Studied the Japanese calligraphy for, 6 years old and won many prizes in the contests.
After experience as a successful Calligrapher, established the "MOJIKOUBOU,SHIROKI".
Designing letters on signboards of exhibitions and on the store accessory like the shop curtaons,the packages and envelops.

Researching the new aspects in the traditional calligraphy and creating the fine art by the medium of that. Co-established the art-project (IMA) and collaborated with Korean artists in 2001, exhibited the works in Japanese restaurant "Tako Grill" in Washington city, USA in 2000. The group exhibition by IMA is coming in October.
